The Art and DT departments, where I spent a lot of my time whilst at school, provided me with both practical skills and also an understanding of art and creativity which has become the foundation for my career now.
After KES I completed a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at Arts University Bournemouth before studying Performance Design at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. I am now working as a London based Costume Designer, specialising in costume for Musical Theatre and movement based performance.
KES helped me to achieve my professional dream. Whilst at KES I was able to try my hand at making and designing costumes for school productions and there is so much more to KES than just the academic side. There is a lot of space for creativity within individual departments and so many opportunities to pursue your chosen creative pathways.
