Throughout the year, we invite families to visit and experience our school, to help decide if King Edward VI School is right for your child.
Our Open Events and Individual Tours provide the perfect opportunity to gain an insight into what life at King Edward VI School is like. Find more information about our events and how to book below:
Open Evening | Friday 4 October, 6.00pm-8.30pm
Every Autumn we host our annual Open Evening where we welcome families to explore the school, meet the current pupils and staff, and get to know more about school life at King Edward's.

Taster Mornings | September & November 2024
September Taster Mornings | For children currently in Year 6 & Year 8
Our Taster Morning events are a fantastic way for parents and children to experience our school. During the event families will have the chance to meet the Head, explore the school and grounds, learn more about King Edward's and join us for lunch.

Individual Tours
Individual Tours are bookable throughout the year, and are with a senior member of staff. These tours are available for families to take during the school day, providing a real insight into what your child can expect day-to-day. There will be opportunities to drop into lessons, tour the school and ask questions to the member of staff.

Sixth Form Taster Mornings
We offer interested students the opportunity to be a Sixth Form student for the morning. This is a fantastic chance for students to truly trial the Sixth Form and experience what day-to-day life would be like.
Students will be given a buddy on arrival, who will accompany them to different lessons. These lessons can be organised based on your preferred A Level subject choices. Students will then go to lunch with their buddy, before departing at 1.00 pm.
