King Edward VI School is a thriving co-educational 11-18 Independent Day School looking to recruit an energetic and enthusiastic Assistant SENCO to join the Curriculum Support Team. 

You will have a deep understanding of SEN provision. You will consult and work closely with the Head of Curriculum Support and other members of the Curriculum Support team to support the smooth running of the department. You will have a positive attitude and the ability to inspire young people to believe in themselves. You must have a desire to guide students through their barriers to learning to become the best they can be.  Experience of working in an SEN role in a secondary school setting and using assessment tools is essential.  The successful candidate will need to have expertise and experience in providing support for children with Dyslexia, as well as experience of working with children on the Autism Spectrum and or those with ADHD.

Caretaker

KING EDWARD VI SCHOOL, SOUTHAMPTON

Caretaker

Full-time 37 hours per week or part-time hours considered

Salary £24,500 rising to £25,730 on successful completion of probationary period

We are seeking to appoint a Caretaker to join out facilities team, to ensure that the buildings and grounds are maintained in a well-presented and safe condition, providing a suitable environment for the teaching and learning of pupils. 

Reporting to the Head Caretaker, you will be capable of working independently and within our team of caretakers. You will need to have a flexible approach to hours and tasks and there will be additional opportunities for overtime. 

You will work within the Facilities team on caretaking, maintenance, small projects and grounds. You will on occasion work across all school sites.  You will have good attention to detail and a positive, can-do attitude.  If you are able to drive a minibus, this would be an advantage, but is not essential. 

Previous caretaking experience would be an advantage but if you can bring general practical skills there will be opportunities to develop and go on training courses to up-skill yourself in the role in a supportive and established team.
