14 Trees Arrive at King Edward's

King Edward VI School carries out major tree landscaping project, to improve school aesthetic and provide much needed shade to southerly facing classrooms.

In a move towards softening the school façade, which has remained largely unchanged since 1938, the school have planted 14 Norway Maples (Acer Platanoides). The trees are highly valued for its colourful autumn foliage and tolerance to urban conditions.

The 14 trees located at the northern end of the school field, which are often planted as a shade tree, will provide the southern facing classrooms with protection from the Summer sun.
