Lead School Nurse

Lead School Nurse – September start

Salary will be pro-rata for term-time hours and dependent on qualifications and experience. 

Full-time 36 weeks per annum (term-time)

Part-time hours/job share would be considered for the right candidate

King Edward VI School is a thriving co-educational 11-18 day school looking to recruit an experienced registered nurse (either RN Child or RN Adult) to manage the nursing provision and maintain high standards of health care and welfare support for our 980 pupils. 

You will lead our nursing team, to provide our school community with a clinically effective, high quality service of nursing care.  You will be responsible for ensuring compliance, implementing policies and procedures and identifying areas of improvement to the care of our pupils. Suitable applicants will have 5 years post-qualifying experience and an understanding of relevant health policies. You must be an excellent communicator, be effective at building relationships and have a warm, approachable and calm manner.  The successful candidate will support the leadership team in their pastoral duty of care by dealing with all aspects of medical care and developing positive attitudes to health matters for our school community.  Experience of working with children and families in a community setting and experience of A&E/minor injuries is desirable.  The applicant should also have a keen interest in participating in the teaching provision of First Aid Skills and other topics as required.

Minibus Driver

Available as two 10 hours per week shifts or 20 hours per week for both shifts

06.30am – 8.30am and 4.00pm to 6.00pm - term time only

£12.60 per hour plus benefits

We are looking to appoint a minibus driver/s to join our team. Two shifts are available, Monday to Friday morning shift 06.30am – 08.30am and Monday to Friday evening shift 4.00pm – 06.00pm, during term time only. You would be responsible for driving one of our 16-seater minibuses to drive students to and from school. 

You must hold a clean driving licence with category D1 entitlement (drivers who passed their car test before 1st January 1997), or a current PSV licence.  Previous experience of working with young people would be an advantage.
