A King Edward VI School pupil has earned his second cap for the Norwegian national rugby team.

Upper Sixth pupil Henry, who also represents the school's 1st XV rugby side, featured for Norway as they defeated Estonia 51-0 in Tallinn on 2 May.

Henry entered the match early in the second half wearing the number 19 shirt to help guide his nation to a comfortable victory.

The result meant Norway secured their first victory this season in Pool A of the men's Rugby Europe Conference. Alongside Norway and Estonia, the group also features Finland, Latvia and Luxembourg.

It was the hooker's second cap for his country having made his debut last month against Finland in a match at the country's home ground in Stavanger.

Henry earned his spot in the squad after impressing in two training camps held in England earlier this season after a chance encounter with the nations' coach at a university open day.

Norway's coaches are both British and the squad is made up of local players, British expatriates and those with family ties to Norway, such is the case with Henry.

After the match on Saturday, players from both the Norway and Estonia squads met in the evening for a formal dinner.

"The team spirit in the Norway squad is really good," said Henry. "It's what keeps the players coming back every match."

With the majority of the squad being English language speakers, Henry ensured he made the effort to learn the Norwegian national anthem to belt out before the match.

We congratulate Henry on his fantastic achievement and wish him luck with his future rugby career.
