Physical Education
Physical Education at King Edward’s is an important part of the curriculum where we provide all students with a fantastic all-round sporting experience. We challenge our students to be the best they can be in a way that places enjoyment of physical activity at the heart of our provision.
The department aims to expose students to a wide variety of sports, with the hope that each and every student will leave King Edward’s with at least one sport they wish to continue with during their adult life. Studying Physical Education is a great way for students to develop co-operation skills, experience winning and losing, and develop an appreciation of health, fitness and well-being.
In addition to the wide range of sporting activities on the curriculum students will also be instructed in how to develop their own exercise programme which they will then be able to use in our new state of the art gym facilities during lessons and in their own free time.
Director of Sport, Mr Kent, shares more information about Physical Education at King Edward VI School.
