« Avoir une autre langue, c'est posséder une deuxième âme. »
"To have another language is to possess a second soul".

Learning French at KES will not only enable you to communicate in a language that is spoken throughout the world, but it will also open your mind up to new cultures and ideas.
The French Department aims to promote the enjoyment of the French language and the diversity of Francophone culture from Year 7 through to the Upper Sixth. Our team of experienced teachers and French assistant work together to teach with enthusiasm and dedication allowing us to make lessons stimulating and rewarding.
All classes follow a challenging and varied French course adapted to each year group and every student’s individual needs. We use a wealth of resources so that we offer the very best experience to our students.
We provide textbooks to every student, and we subscribe to a variety of websites that support in-class learning. We use a range of methods to promote effective learning, and we have access to dozens of films and literary texts to give students the best chance of success in their studies.
