Admissions Procedure & Key Dates

Each year, we welcome new students to join King Edward’s in the Lower Sixth for their A Levels.

We offer a range of 26 subjects, all academically rigorous, and all taught in small groups of around eight students by specialist teaching staff.

Every year, we host our annual Sixth Form Information Evening in October, after this, applicants are able to submit their application to us. In March, senior members of staff and subject specialists will interview prospective candidates.  As a result of these interviews, and on the basis of a candidate’s predicted GCSE results, either a conditional or unconditional offer of a place may be made.

A limited number of bursaries are available and these are dependent on individual family financial circumstances.  There are also some non-means tested scholarships for students from the maintained sector, who plan to study Chemistry or Biology.
