Sixth Form Open Evening

Wednesday 16 June 2027, 6.00pm–8.30pm

Our Sixth Form Open Evening is designed for students currently in Year 10 and their parents or guardians who are beginning to consider their post-16 options.

The evening offers an excellent opportunity to explore life at King Edward VI Sixth Form, discover our broad range of A Level courses and gain valuable insight into the next stage of your educational journey.

Classrooms will be open throughout the evening, allowing prospective students and their families to meet A Level subject teachers, explore departments and learn more about the courses they are considering. You will also have the chance to speak with current Sixth Form students about their experiences, both inside and beyond the classroom.

Visitors can explore our dedicated Sixth Form spaces, including the Concourse, and find out more about the extensive range of clubs, societies, enrichment opportunities and leadership roles available to Sixth Form students.

During the evening, Head Neal Parker and Director of Sixth Form Emma Thomas will deliver presentations covering academic study, university and career preparation, pastoral support and the opportunities that make our Sixth Form such a distinctive and rewarding place to study.
