Visit our Sixth Form

The next Sixth Form Open Evening is on Thursday 27 June. 

This event will provide a strong insight into the exciting subjects offered at Sixth Form, and will help students seriously consider their next steps. You will have the opportunity to talk to our Head, Neal Parker, Director of Sixth Form, Emma Thomas, our A Level subject teachers, the Careers team and, of course, some of our current Sixth Formers to chat about life at King Edward’s in and out of the classroom. Neal Parker and Emma Thomas will also be delivering a short presentation to all in attendance.

Individual Tours are bookable throughout the year, and are with a senior member of staff. These tours are available for families to take during the school day, providing a real insight into what your you can expect day-to-day. There will be opportunities to drop into lessons, tour the school and ask questions to the member of staff.

We offer interested students the opportunity to be a Sixth Form student for the morning. This is a fantastic chance for students to truly trial the Sixth Form and experience what day-to-day life would be like.

Students will be given a buddy on arrival, who will accompany them to different lessons. These lessons can be organised based on your preferred A Level subject choices. Students will then go to lunch with their buddy, before departing at 1.00 pm. 

These are arranged throughout the year at any time. To enquire, please contact the Admissions Team. 

This is an informal, low-key event for current Year 11 students and their parents which takes place during our school day, giving you the opportunity to see King Edward's on a typical afternoon. Your child will have a chance to chat to our current Sixth Form students and have a tour of the school with them. Come and chat to our Director of Sixth Form, Dr Emma Thomas, and other members of Sixth Form and Admissions staff over a cup of tea and a piece of cake, and ask us any questions you may have!
