KES Celebrates Sixth Consecutive Year in The Cricketer Magazine’s Top 100
King Edward VI School is proud to have been named once again in The Cricketer Magazine’s Top 100 Cricket Schools for 2026, our sixth consecutive year in the guide. This recognition reflects the strength, depth, and ambition of cricket across the whole KES community.
Cricket continues to be a defining sport at King Edward’s, with nearly thirty teams across boys’ and girls’ cricket, competitive fixtures across all age groups, and year-round player development supported by outstanding facilities at Wellington Sports Ground, Hill Lane, our indoor Sports Hall, and across our Preparatory settings at KES Prep (Romsey) and Prince’s Mead (Winchester).
Celebrating Success Across the School
This year also marks a standout achievement for two of our students, Ben & Adam. Ben has signed his first professional contract with Hampshire Cricket, and Adam has been added into the Hampshire Cricket Academy off the back of their excellent 2025 Summer performances. They follow in the footsteps of previous KES players who have progressed to professional and representative honours.
