King Edward VI School appoints New Bursar
King Edward VI School are delighted to announce the appointment of Nikki Slowey as the incoming Bursar, succeeding the dedicated Mr. Ray Maher, who has devoted an impressive 18 years of service to the institution.
Nikki, currently serving as the Bursar at Walhampton and previously at Heath Mount School, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role. A Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) qualified professional, Nikki boasts two decades of prior experience in operational and finance roles across both the commercial and public sectors.
Mr Parker, Head, expressed his enthusiasm about Nikki's appointment; "We are thrilled to welcome Nikki to the KES and Stroud community. Nikki’s extensive background in finance, coupled with her dedication to the educational sector, makes her an invaluable addition to our team. We extend our deepest gratitude to Ray Maher for his outstanding 18 years of service, and we look forward to the positive impact Nikki will undoubtedly bring to our school community."
Nikki says "I’m very excited to be taking on the role of Bursar at KES and Stroud. Throughout the interview process, I've been impressed by both KES and Stroud's strong pastoral and academic offering, alongside the excellent facilities available to pupils. I am looking forward to building on the sound financial footing left by Ray and playing my part in the growth of the School community"
Nikki's appointment, from April 2024, marks a significant milestone in the ongoing growth and development of both Stroud and King Edward VI School and the entire school community eagerly anticipates the positive contributions she will make in her new role.
